ROAD TO NEGRITUDE

What it Was: An evening celebrating the liberatory power of sound, rhythm, and collective joy. We had a screening of Inspire the Night: Batekoo, centering the groundbreaking queer Black festival in Brazil that redefines resistance through music and dance.

A community discussion followed, led by local Afro-Diasporic music and dance spacemakers. We explored how movement and sound have long been central to Black joy, healing, and political expression.
